In my long list of hobbies, there is collecting minerals, which helps me to feel the bond with the planet I live on. So I’m already working on this selection — be sure, there will be so much of my self. But today its the aesthetics of the earth and stone wallpapers in focus.
The shot of Lubo Minar which I saw first on Unsplash has provoked a very strong emotion. I literally inhaled the smell of dry red soil, felt its rough touch — and this intimacy with nature excited me to chills.
Then I started my regular research to complete the week’s selection of stone and earth wallpapers; and I still couldn’t escape the emotion of fascination. How can these textures be so lively, can you tell me? I have now an image by Ramin Khatibi as a background on my iPad Pro, and it seems there is not a screen but a touch-pleasant stone texture.
Briefly, I’m in love with every single work featured in the issue. And I don’t think it’s important to be a tactile maniac to feel their power in full — these background images will be over you anyway.
