Another game-dedicated collection of fan illustrations I make, and again my confession precedes me here: I’m not even close to the skill lever modern youth has in Fortnite. Although we used to play it a lot at work, annoying some of our colleagues with geeky Nintendo noises. But it’s not the point I was making…
If you ask me to solve the core dilemma of “what’s better: PUBG or Fortnite?”, the balance will switch to the second option, as my opinion is based not strictly on a gaming experience but its aesthetics, that I observe via the artistic prism. Cartoon skins come as a fairground for Fortnite fan art, ‘cause it’s easier to make one here rather than to interpret, let’s say, characters from “The Last of Us” (my heart goes to all Joel fans out there). Devaluation of a talent? No, just a general truth from a drawing veteran.
Of course, first there come adorable kitties and kawaii girls, so the foundation for this Fortnite fan art edition is built from them, I won’t pretend to be curious about the concept of a Battle Bus construction (although it’s a really cool vehicle, and I have it in the compilation). On the other hand, not only this but everything from weapon and amunition to loot items design give me some benign chills. If I had to justify my choice of images for the Fortnite fan art, this would be it.
Having lost the track of seasons and social media drama around the game, my goal, as usual, was to pick the remarkable works you can get inspired by, set as a background, choose for the profile picture or discover new artists to follow. Just let me ask for only one thing: no Fortnite dances allowed!
