It’s-a me with a new gallery of Mario art, packed with funny cartoons and realistic illustrations of the world-known plumber, who’s never been seen actually doing plumbing work. Behold the professionalism in its ultimate form!
That Princess Peach lady must have no rest with constant kidnappings and don’t even get me started on poor Mario himself. The guy has seen things, that it’s time to make a simulator of his peaceful life with Peach, where you need to just take care of the garden and manage the character’s needs (I’m thinking of something The Sims or Animal Crossing-like). Give me a shout if someone develops this game.
These Mario pictures are, no doubt, made by skillful artists, who’ve spent loads of time designing all the pieces one by one. But I can’t help but bring up the coloring book I saw once, containing the checkered paper sheets with a scheme on top of it, showing how to draw the character. It was the Mario pixel art in its primal form, where you simply had to color the required places! Have no clue why this memory amuses me so much.
The imagery of this character was changed only once when the red overalls switched the color to blue (which happened in Super Mario Bros). The rest is part and parcel of Mario, making him so recognizable in any Mario art: big nose, red puffy hat, bushy mustache.
The game has dozens of other cute characters, but I’d like to focus on Princess Peach art a little and bless this collection with her infinite charm! Her adorable looks are associated with the rainbow, marshmallows, and sakura (I felt a pinch of subconsciousness that I have to draw her one day). So including her in this Mario fan art is my ode to equality and a little extra admiration for the cutie.
