The sneakers fashion has tempted practically the whole world with successive collections where every one is more futuristic than the following. And what is absolutely remarkable is that the higher level of refinement demands the same level of conceptual elaboration. So, recent Nike Air project has been transformed into the ingenious machines, carrying their owners to the awaiting adventures and new experiences with Pegasus.
This fresh design is the handiwork of Chris Labrooy. On his website you’ll find many other interesting branding projects for Nike as well as for Adidas, Pringles and Jaguar. And all of them appear so juicy and saturated. First look at his portfolio allows concluding that the style he applies consists of flipping any well-known image upside down and presenting it from the completely different perceptive. This approach unveils the unique parts of a product and pushes to the thought, “How come I’ve never seen it this way?”.
Here the Nike Air running collection is tied up with the project’s metaphoric context. Basically, Nike Pegasus is the rocket, plane or any other prodigious aircraft allowing to float above the ground (i.e. to feel the maximum comfort anyone dreams their shoes to have). There’s something so cosmic about this digital art in 3D design! It’s noteworthy that the author put various highlighting elements to good use and awarded each rocket with uniqueness. Again, the allusion to Nike sneakers and their distinctive forms. We’d love to see more machines elaborated from other collections, so hopefully one day Chris Labrooy will swell the ranks of his futuristic aviation.
