Procreate is just perfect for calligraphy, but it doesn’t mean you can work with fonts in it.
Procreate app for iPad is so powerful it became the key tool for many creatives around the world. If you’re a professional illustrator, it has everything you need to painlessly switch from the bulky computer + pen display combo to an elegant Apple tablet.
However, next moment you want to add a title, or a caption to your design using something like the common type tool you got used to in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, you realize there is no way to do that. Which is kinda crucial for so many graphic designers, that I’m surprised they haven’t added this feature a long time ago.
But it seems like things are going to change very soon. Here is a post from Procreate Instagram account saying 3 simple words: We heard you. Combining it with a video loop of a blinking type cursor attached to the post, there is a simple conclusion:

And it’s finally here! A full scale text tools are now available on your iPad starting today. Also, you should check the new features bringing GIF animation (I’m sure, animators will love it so much!) and layered PNG export options.
