Joker Joaquin Phoenix — it even has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? The recent reboot of the Joker story is another thrilling catalyst for talented illustrators to grab their pencils and flood the net with Joker fan art of all kinds.
One day I’ll start speaking only with movie and TV show references, and after watching the new Joker movie I’m planning to enlarge my geeky vocabulary. As for the movie starring role choice, I’ll lie if I tell you that I haven’t drawn parallels between Phoenix’s characters and madmen, really (remember “The Master“, “You Were Never Really Here” or that irritating rascal in “Gladiator“?). Playing the world’s most-cherished villain suits him like nothing else with Joaquin’s experience of being a bad guy with dubious motives.
The Joker Fan Art
We already paid respects to Batman, now it’s time to switch the focus to a bad guy, especially such a charismatic one. I must say: it’s a newly-shot movie but the Joker art is everywhere already. It’s hard to think how this amount of Joker fan art will increase from the current state!
Sure thing, the Joker art compilation hasn’t been without the actors from the previous movies but I decided to give a go to new Joker movie. The most appealing thing for me was to scroll through the Joker fan art where a lot of attention was brought to the actor’s portrayal without the clown makeup. Again: there’s something about Joaquin, perfectly suiting the chosen role.
Alternative posters, 3D models, neon images, pencil sketches, and watercolors — tons of Joker art and it’s all so good! Thankfully I don’t need to choose the best Joker drawing or top three pictures — it’s mission impossible.
