Mind the Gap Stencil Font
creativemarket.com
A modern stencil font, “Mind the Gap,” was created by hand-cutting letter stencils and spraying them with black paint. That gave it an industrial, military look and feel. It’s deliberately made not to look perfect: it’s dirty to appear more accurate and has a bit of personality. It includes one stylistic alternative for uppercase and lowercase A-Z. Plus an additional stylistic alternative for A,B,D,O,P,Q,R and three alternatives for numbers.
USSR Army Font

The name of this army font speaks for itself and its style at the same time. Inspired by the military times in the USSR, it has captured the people’s bravery, the terror of the battlefield times and the soldiers’ heroic deeds. Its vintage undertones make the typeface suitable for retro designs.

Army Stamp

Badly-printed letterforms of this US army font look like they’re soaked in a fierce history of battlefield and air victories and man’s bravery. But you can always fill it with your own connotation by including the typeface in one of your future projects! Aside from the standard set of characters, there are punctuation marks to provide the writings with the essentials.
There is no single standard military font that is used for everything in the military. Generally, the military uses block fonts and stencil fonts.
Hey Stephen! Thanks for your comment, you must have an eye for this kind of typography or have a valuable experience of serving in the army 💪 However, I’m pretty sure this typographic style doesn’t have to replicate the original thoroughly. The inspiration by forms, block style and kerning is what matters here 😎
Thanks so much for sharing! Your article giave me a lot of useful information about military fonts. Great article!
