The days I spent watching Gravity Falls were probably the best in my boring and so predictable adulthood. This story got everything the picky audience may ask for: a gripping plot, charismatic characters, humor — so all you want is another episode. In fact, I wish I watched this series while growing, and I slightly envy all teens who had this chance.
Emergency hugs for everyone missing Gravity Falls universe! I can barely remember a recent Disney series that received so much attention from the community and was praised for just everything. No matter whether you are ten of thirty-five, you’ll end up dreaming of such siblings as Dipper and Maber — and of Uncle Stan, Soos, and Wendy as your everpresent companions.
You know, with every single episode, I had mixed fillings. At a time, I was choking on cuteness and embarrassment (as if it was me going through my first love story with Mermando 🧜♂️) — and giggling at gnomes throwing up rainbows. As if all of the best human experiences met the most weird and awkward moments, and here’s what we’ve got!
Sprinkle it with endless references and nods to shows like X-Files and movies like Alien, Mad Max, and even Pacific Rim, and here we have a 40-episodes cinematographic bomb that is everywhere — from memes and gifs to merchandise and to Call Me Maybe Parody released in 2020 to support our nostalgia.
And for everyone, who’s now in Sweater Town, missing the series (for five years already, huh?) and asking for more, comes my selection of Gravity Falls fan art created by passionate fans — like you and me! An awkward sibling hug, maybe?
An extraordinary illustrator, also known as Milka. Fan of magic and unicorns, she delivers tons of inspiration with every artwork. Thrilled to see her running the fascinating wallpapers section on The Designest.
